FAQs

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes! Drs. Krimmer, Kastner, Marsho, and Richer are accepting families expecting newborns as well as families new to the area and those transferring from other local practices.

Can I meet one of the pediatricians prior to joining your practice?

Yes, you can! While not a requirement, "parents-to-be" often choose to meet one of our pediatricians prior to their "new arrival". Expectant families new to the area or looking for a new pediatrician are also welcome to meet one of our pediatricians. Feel free to bring your child or children along! Simply call (414) 774-9200 during weekday clinic hours to schedule an appointment if you would like this opportunity. There is no fee for this visit.

What hospitals do the pediatricians go to?

Our pediatricians all have staff privileges at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Aurora West Allis Medical Center, Ascension Hospital - Elmbrook Campus, Ascension - St. Joseph Hospital and Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Birth Center.

What if my pediatrician doesn't go to the hospital at which I am delivering?

Don't worry! One of the pediatricians at the hospital will visit your baby daily until they go home. Call our office the day you leave the hospital to schedule your newborn visit at Tosa Pediatrics.

How will the pediatrician know to come to the hospital after our delivery?

When you pre-register or register at the hospital before your delivery, indicate on the admission form who you intend to have as your child's pediatrician. The hospital staff will notify us shortly after your delivery.

After I deliver my baby (or babies), when will the pediatrician see us?

You can expect to see your pediatrician (or the pediatrician covering) within 24 hours of your delivery, usually between 7:00am and 10:00am. Your pediatrician will likely see your baby or babies daily until you go home.

When is my child too old to see a pediatrician?

American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations suggest transitioning 18-year-old patients to adult physicians (internal medicine or family practice) in order to provide more comprehensive and accurate care. We are happy to provide you with the names of trusted internal medicine and family practice physicians in the area.

My child is out of prescription refills, what do I do?

Call our office during regularly scheduled weekday clinic hours or submit an online request here. We are unable to process refill requests on weekends. After speaking with us, you may either come by to pick up a written prescription or you may have your pharmacy call us. We are also able to send most prescriptions electronically. Refill requests will only be honored if the patient has been seen within the last 12 months for a well-child visit ("full physical"). This is necessary in order to protect the health of your child.

Can I get this form signed?

We are happy to sign or complete athletic, daycare, school, camp and any other forms that relate to the health status of your child. We can only do so with parental permission (or the patient's permission if older than 18 years). We require that the patient has been seen within the last 12 months for a well-child visit ("full physical") before filling out any forms; visits for illnesses do not qualify. This policy is necessary in order for us to provide accurate information to the requesting agency and is meant to protect the health of your child as well as the liability of both the agency requesting the form and that of our practice. Child Health Care Forms are available to be completed electronically here.

Does your office accept our insurance?

We accept numerous types of insurance. To be certain, please call your insurance company.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, personal checks, debit cards, Visa/MasterCard, and American Express. Do not mail cash.

Debit and credit card payments can also be made over the phone or through online pay.
